Fishing and Adventure
During the middle of the night we spotlighted two red eyes with a flashlight… Stunned by the light, the gator sat still in the water and we paddled up to it in the little canoe. Don’t worry - it was a small gator! All of a sudden, Raimundo, our do-it-all and know-it-all guide, stepped out of the boat into the water, stuck his hand down in the water, and then instantaneously grabbed the gator with his bare hands. He caught a gator! My eyes just about popped out as Raimundo asked me if I wanted to hold the gator… I apprehensively - yet excited accepted his offer. Wow, I never gripped so tightly in my life! We let him go afterwards and the little guy swam away swiftly…
